Rhodesian Ridgeback

Chica is the third beloved family pet I've been privileged to paint (please see last photo). Chica is another stunning Rhodesian Ridgeback, the ridge on her back slightly visible in this pose. Also stunning is the requested background: the sea at Cadboro Bay in Vancouver, Canada.

Faux Frida

This little chihuahua named Winnie couldn't make a more stunning Frida Kahlo. Really, Winnie IS Frida :-)

Two From Texas

Mom (Lexi, on the right) and her son (Bruce) love hanging out around this area of Austin Texas called The Barton Creek Greenbelt. They're big dogs (Bullmastiff/Bullmastiff Mix) and seem to fit in just fine in the big state of Texas, USA.

Good Ole' Benbow

Benbow was a beloved good ole' Golden Lab. I was asked to paint a tribute to Ben, but nothing too romanticized. Ben & Fam loved to explore the natural area of New Forest, England.

"Benbow was our old dog from England. He travelled to Canada then the US and back to Canada and died at the great age of 17."

Those Eyes!

Those eyes! Lovely Maddie reminded me of a gentle doe with those tear-drop eyes. And of course I had to make sure to paint in her legs, as she has them tucked under her so sweetly.

Remembering Alice

Golden Lab ALICE was commissioned as a birthday gift when I was asked to paint her portrait. Sadly, this is now a memorial painting...
